RegulationTipsEU regulations when flying drones

17th June 20190

The regulatory guidance for unmanned drones was set by a Regulatory Framework by the EU back on the 28th of February 2019 and covered for the us of all Unmanned Drones, UAVs, unmanned Aerial vehicles, UASs, Unmanned Aircraft, Drones and all other Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

I have added the links to the relevant descriptions from the EASA for all of the above below for further clarification. The Implementing Act itself was adopted by the EU on March the 12th 2019 to regulate the use of to regulate the operations or use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in Europe this includes the UK and would likely remain in place post Brexit and governs the registration of drone operators and of certified drones alike throughout the EU and the UK.

Both Regulatory Framework and the Implementing Act are still in consultation but will be published in full before summer this year 2019 and are slowly becoming applicable, it is said that by 2022 the transitional period we currently find ourselves in will then be fully completed and the regulation will be fully applicable in Law.
